The Petrus NovaCaster Rental Fleet
All guitars are available at $50 per week.
1. The T-Style Blender (Single-Cut)
This isn’t your average, thin-sounding country twang machine. Wired with a pair of wound-hot pickups hovering around the 8k mark, this NovaCaster is purpose-built to push the front end of an amp into pure, gritty rock and roll territory. Combining the aggressive midrange “bark” of a vintage ’52-inspired bridge single-coil with the throatier, muscular punch of a ’59 PAF-style neck humbucker, it delivers an assertive, broad-shouldered attitude. Yet, despite that extra muscle, the tone remains remarkably refined and elite. There isn’t a hint of muddy low-end sludge here; instead, the instrument yields a deeply articulate note separation and pristine high-end clarity. It is exceptionally touch-sensitive, responding instantly to the nuance of your pick attack or fingerstyle dynamics, and with the dual volume controls, you can meticulously blend that bark and warmth into the exact texture your track demands.
- Body & Finish: Lightweight swamp ash with a maple cap, finished in traditional nitrocellulose. (~7.5 lbs)
- Neck: Comfortable .88″ Soft-V maple neck with a premium Indian rosewood fingerboard and vintage frets.
- Electronics & Pickups: Custom-made Rocketfire B52 in the bridge and a smooth ’59 PAF clone in the neck. Jupiter paper and oil capacitor.
- The Custom Edge: Wired with dual volume controls and a master tone, allowing you to seamlessly blend the PAF warmth and Tele bite to your exact specification.
2. The HSS High-Performance S-Style
This layout is the ultimate studio chameleon, built to deliver the absolute pinnacle of classic rock grit and legendary single-coil vocal expressiveness in one instrument. Anchor your rhythm tracks or firing-line solos in the bridge position, where the Arcane Triple Clone PAF lives. Hand-assembled to replicate the best properties of an over-wound, beefed-up 1959 Patent Applied For humbucker, this pickup is pure rock and roll. It has a firm, tight attack with a rich musical crunch that sounds exactly like a vintage Marshall head being pushed to its absolute sweet spot.Flip over to the middle or neck positions, and the landscape beautifully transforms. The Rocketfire Total 60’s single-coils deliver that quintessential, dripping vintage Stratocaster character. They are beautifully throatier in the lower mids, slippery and fluid when tracking lead lines, and yield a glassy, bell-like top-end clarity that never gets harsh. Combined with the snappy, resonant punch of the lightweight swamp ash body, this NovaCaster bounces back with an almost tube-rectifier style compression the moment you strike a chord—giving you an incredibly dynamic, touch-sensitive platform that cuts through any mix.
- Body & Finish: Lightweight swamp ash finished in nitrocellulose.
- Neck: Slim, lightning-fast .78″ C-shape maple neck with an Indian rosewood fingerboard.
- Electronics & Pickups: An Arcane Triple Clone PAF in the bridge for thick, vintage humbucking roar, paired with Rocketfire single-coils in the middle and neck positions. Jupiter paper and oil capacitor.
3. The Custom Offset Humbucker
If you need to lay down a wall of sound that commands the room and pushes your amp to its absolute limit, this offset is your weapon of choice. This is an absolutely massive-sounding guitar engineered to blow other players away. The bridge position is loaded with the legendary DiMarzio Super Distortion—an absolutely amazing powerhouse of a pickup that started the aftermarket revolution. It hits the front end of your signal chain with thick, kicking mids, heavy lows, and fat highs, delivering an unmatched overdrive flavor that remains tight and focused under high gain.
Flip to the neck, and you meet the perfect counterweight: a DiMarzio PAF. DiMarzio intentionally designed this neck humbucker to have a brighter, more open top-end than traditional vintage PAFs, and it brilliantly hits the mark. Instead of the muddy, dark soup that plagues many neck pickups, it yields an incredibly clear, chiming, and articulate voice that rings out beautifully. Combined with the native resonance of its lightweight swamp ash chassis, this offset gives you a massive frequency footprint, while the split-coil option and onboard Treble and Bass EQ controls let you sculpt that immense power into anything from a searing lead to a glass-shattering clean.
- Body & Finish: Lightweight swamp ash (~7.5 lbs).
- Electronics & Pickups: A high-output DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge paired with a classic DiMarzio ’59 PAF in the neck.
- The Custom Edge: Features a built-in coil split for single-coil clarity, alongside dedicated Treble and Bass EQ controls to shape your frequency response on the fly.
The Studio Speaker Vault
Every seasoned engineer and guitar player knows a secret that rookies miss: your speaker dictates at least 50% of your recorded tone. You can have a world-class guitar and a flawless amplifier, but the speaker is the final gatekeeper of your sound. It is where the electricity turns into air.
We launched this speaker rental vault because we think it is incredibly cool to give musicians a low-barrier way to test, audition, and swap different speakers for different tracks. One song might demand the woody midrange “bark” and early breakup of a 10″ Celestion Greenback to sit right in a rock mix. The next track might need the massive, glassy headroom and deep, pristine lows of a 12″ Fender by Eminence, or the unique, sweet compression of an 8″ Jensen Alnico to cut through as a boutique overdub.
Instead of committing to buying expensive cabinets or settling for whatever happens to be sitting in the studio closet, you can rent these distinct, 8-ohm open-back flavors for just $50 a week. Bring a few options to your next session, swap the speaker cable between takes, and hear exactly how much a targeted speaker swap changes the entire DNA of your song.
- The 10″ Celestion Greenback (Open-Back Cab): Perfect for classic British grit, woody midrange, and beautiful power-amp breakup at studio-friendly volumes. 30 watts.
- The 12″ Fender by Eminence (Open-Back Cab): The definitive choice for glassy American cleans, deep lows, and pristine headroom. 60 Watts.
- The 8″ Jensen Alnico Special (Open-Back Cab): A boutique studio secret weapon. Delivers vintage, low-wattage compression, sweet top-end sparkle, and unique textures for tracking. 25 watts.
